In the history of music there have already been a few drummers who later made a great career on the microphone - think of Stevie Wonder, Dave Grohl or Phil Collins. In this tradition Anderson Paak moves over the stages of this world. The 32-year-old rapper, singer, drummer and producer from Oxnard, California combines the classical elements of Motown, soul and funk with the aesthetics of modern R&B, rap and pop. Together with his live band, the "Free Nationals", he celebrates all facets of Afro-American music with great skill and even greater passion.

Brandon Paak Anderson grew up in the 80s in not always easy circumstances, but in the church behind the drumset he found his destiny. Since then he has produced music in his own home, first under a different name and with moderate success. But that was to change in 2013, when hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre discovered the exceptional talent after hearing the song "Suede" from Paak's album "Venice".

From then on everything happened very quickly: Brandon was represented on six songs of Dr. Dres's third studio album "Compton" and thus became known to a broad public. 2016 followed with his album "Malibu" his final breakthrough as a solo artist.

On 16 November his third solo album "Oxnard" was released, which was awaited and celebrated with great excitement by critics and fans alike. With the single "Tints" feat. Kendrick Lamar, a forerunner had already found his way into the public eye and gave hope for great things. In spring 2019 Anderson .Paak will come to Germany and Austria for selected concerts.
