Founded in 2014 on the occasion of a commissioned work for the international Vienna accordion festival as the first Viennese accordion boy group, Belofour sees itself as still and more than ever artistically committed to both contemporary and entertainment. With energy and joy of life, the gentlemen let their various biographies reflect their musical preferences and their rights Distinctive, enriching differences flow into one another and celebrate with virtuosity and joy of sound the material of their respective interest driven by an unbridled joy in the other's difference. Small vocal passages in between are Belofour's concerns.

Get on the listener, listener, pick up the air accordion! (Rainer Krispel, music worker)

A colorful and incredibly varied musical firework display with an improvisational touch that inspires you from the first second. The art, which the four accordionists have mastered excellently in an extremely multifaceted way, is to make this musically very complex mix sound as if it were all of a piece. (Michael Ternai, mica)

Four recognized grand masters of the accordion meet to play together. Nimble keyboard artists, music in the flow and as a listener you are right in the middle of it all! (Harald Justin, Concerto)

Stylistically there is a tour de force from accordion jazz to folk elements to passages with a distinctive Balkan touch. There is also a dash of tango and musette, for example in the piece “Steckelwaltz”. What is essential in this type of music-making is the maximum freedom of the actors. The album also gets a special flavor through the use of an artificial vocal language that is reminiscent of the Viennese group or even Ernst Jandl. The musical and vocal daring here has no limits at all, Belofour manages to put a daring stylistic bastard on the map of the world with apparent ease to position ourselves in advanced accordion music. (Stefan Koroschetz, skug)

Starting with jazz, classical-looking passages, tango, Balkan music and wild improvisational interludes that alternate with lovely sounds, the quartet has no blinders on. But be careful - despite all their versatility, the quartet has managed to create a homogeneous, earthy and aesthetic album with Suites Suite. One that requires repeated listening and rewards you with new discoveries each time. (Martin Steiner, folker)

This creates fantastic sound images, presented with the utmost sophistication. Each of them is a true accordion master with an individualistic character, they create a breathtaking arc of tension, finally merging them collectively to create an unprecedented, unheard of sound world with the highest intensity, completely beyond musical terms and definitions. Rich in highlights, relaxation may perhaps arise in the form of a melody which - depending on the musicians' origins - can sometimes have a Balkanesque or Alpine character. (Werner Leiss, Concerto)

The joy of improvisation and live energy make it something new, unique and completely surprising every time. (Rudy Pollak, SKUG)

Belofour is a fantastic quartet, who know how to put the right dose of humor in their music. They create an accordion sound with the perfect cohesion. Sometimes they give you the feeling that you are listening to one big accordion: wide spacious and wonderful. (Mattie Poels, Music Frames)
