Concert Evening with Tamás Varga and Sophie Druml

This concert evening focuses not only on the cello but also on compositions by contemporaries of great composers. Listening to works by Mozart’s contemporary Jean-Pierre Duport, you will embark on a journey into music that may sound familiar, although you may never have heard it before. The pieces are performed by the solo cellist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Tamás Varga, together with multiple-prize winner Sophie Druml.

Mozarthaus (Domgasse) Vienna

The distinctive baroque vaulted ceiling in the second basement of Mozarthaus Vienna has been converted with great architectural sensitivity that perfectly combines the old and the new into a remarkable multipurpose event venue. Thanks to its outstanding acoustics it is regularly used for chamber music concerts and CD recordings.

A variable stage area and conference technology with sound and lighting systems make it ideal for business events, presentations and lectures.

The event room also offers a unique setting for Christmas parties and private functions like weddings and birthdays. The room was renamed BÖSENDORFER HALL in MOZARTHAUS VIENNA in 2010 as part of a cooperation with Bösendorfer pianos. Mozarthaus Vienna and Bösendorfer together offer a varied concert programme.
