They're doing a lot of Bahöl again with their rich, profound Viennese song/jazz mishmash in now-time mode, this lively creative blast. It's been going well for about ten years now and is getting better and better. This famous Remasuri takes place here once a year. It started with a lot of laundry. From then on, contrapuntal adventurousness played a colorful game. Collective waves rose in the best possible fine-tuning. And Lendl handled the syntax of the texts quite intuitively. Texts that delve into these humorous, old and new dialect vocabularies that accurately reflect the Viennese soul. Her penchant for sympathetic, flirtatious flirtation, morbidity, melancholy, grumpiness. Perfectly musically prepared. The melodic extravagance was boosted by unconventional arrangements, rich in sophisticated harmonic and rhythmic facets, from harsh to crazy. Remodeled Viennese song style, crowned by Lendl & Müller, and today's, fearless understanding of jazz, as lived by the jazz workshop protagonists par excellence, are pretty much the best Hawara. Each profession emphasizes its own characteristics, but also plays heartily with those of the other.
There was waltzing and polka dots, brass fury was raging, there was Dixieland, atonal music in fortissimo, reggaete, and sentimentality. At some point they were all out of their shell in an improvisational manner. From the perspective of the great Viennese song tradition, we can now speak of a unique “Viennese jazz art song” form.
