Dominic Miller 'The Absinthe Tour' (GB/ARG)

Whether "Lord of gentle tones" or Sting´s "right and left hand" - Dominic Miller carries significant titles. And rightly so.

Not only has Miller been the guitarist of pop legend Sting for over twenty years, but world hits such as "You say it best" by Ronan Keating also bear his signature. An entire pop universe swears by the songwriter qualities of the Argentinian-born Sting. The list of names of his fellow musicians who make use of his services is almost endless. Would you like a taste? Level 42, Manu Katché, Paul Young, Boyzone, Chris Botti, Chuck Loeb, Youssou N'Dour, Donovan, Steve Winwood, Sheryl Crow, Peter Gabriel, Rick Wright, Tina Turner, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart and Luciano Pavarotti. To name just a few of the heavyweights among his cooperation partners.

But far away from the pop circus there are Miller's own works - and they are unmistakable. He likes to easily overcome the boundaries of musical genres, modernizing works by Bach, Albinoni and Beethoven in collaboration with greats such as Sting, Placido Domingo and Alejandro Lerner. Masterfully, he elicits finely spun compositions between jazz, Latin and pop from his guitar.
