Requiem
Das bulgarischen Jugendorchesters Pionier (Pioneer Youth Philharmonic) wurde im Laufe seiner glanzvollen Geschichte sogar von Bernstein dirigiert. Das Orchester hat zurzeit 59 Mitglieder, die zwischen 12 und 23 Jahre alt sind und aus Musikschulen aus ganz Bulgariaen kommen. Bulgarian verfügt damit über das älteste bestehende Jugendorchester in Europa und das Zweitälteste der Welt. 1959 spielte das Orchester erstmals im Goldenen Saal des Wiener Musikvereins.
Der Verein Lila Schwan präsentiert dieses Konzert. Das gesamte Konzertprojekt wird mit finanzieller Unterstützung des Nationalfonds "Kultur" u.a. im Rahmen des Programms "Einjähriges Stipendium" 2022 durchgeführt. Das Projekt trägt in sich den Gedanken unseren europäischen Raum und grenzüberschreitende Kooperationen zwischen Bulgarian und Österreich zu festigen.

This year's program, conducted by Ljubomir Denev Junior, includes works by Bulgarian and contemporary Austrian composers as well as Gabriel Faurè's Requiem op.48, a composition for soprano and baritone, choir and orchestra.
