Ariel Bart 'The Trio Project' / Chaia meets Seba Kayan 'Kleztronica meets Oriental Techno' (ISR)

Ariel Bart is an Israeli harmonica player and composer who combines classic New York jazz, Western classical music and echoes of the Middle East. Bart's playing stands out from the sounds of her fellow musicians, creating a continuous, captivating, sustaining flow in the trio. In her efforts to expand the boundaries of the harmonica, Ariel Bart brings a completely new sound to jazz, venturing into unknown territory with her instrument. Ariel Bart knows how to illuminate unique feelings evoked by her harmonica: a touch of nostalgia interspersed with moments of pure joy.

Chaia meets Seba Kayan
Yiddish and oriental techno in one evening? In our new clubbing format, the Klezmore Festival Vienna presents for the first time the event "Kleztronica meets Oriental Techno", a unique musical encounter between the New York artist Chaia and the Viennese-Kurdish artist Seba Kayan. The two artists experiment with traditional music - Yiddish music and klezmer on the one hand, and Arabic, Levantine and Middle Eastern music on the other - and interweave these sounds with electronic sounds, beats and samples. This clubbing evening not only stands for musical innovation, but also for the interweaving of the most diverse diasporic experiences. Especially in times of increasing polarization and growing hostility between different diasporic communities, this project sends an important signal for peaceful coexistence. Experience an evening full of sonic diversity and cultural bridges and get your dancing feet tapping!
