Two band projects by Harald*Huber celebrate a contemporary encounter between jazz and pop.

The trio "JazzDragons" with Viola Falb (sax), Ingrid Oberkanins (percussion) and Harald Huber (keys) drags digestible compositions into the stream of free improvisation ("drag and drop") in order, on the one hand, to linger with relish in the material of some of these songs without words or, on the other hand, to tip them over at any time without warning using a weird sign system (red caps, hand signs) and swim into the open.

The pop/rock/funk band "Donaukrach", on the other hand, opens up the clear song structures of their new program "Gegengift" for jazzy excursions (which Sting with Kenny Kirkland and Branford Marsalis already demonstrated convincingly on "Bring On The Night"). Patricia Simpson (voc), Dominik Reisner (git), Andrea Fränzel (bass), Raphaela Fries (drums) and Harald Huber (keys, comp&arr) are joined in the course of the set by Viola Falb and Ingrid Oberkanins, who add further highlights to the pop quintet with their earthy, protest-laden messages - stranded together in Café Odyssee, surrounded by apocalyptic mountain ranges.
