Orges Toce (voc, guit) and his band mix gipsy, jazz, blues and rock'n'roll into a musical hybrid called "Balkanbilly". Despite all the melancholy, it's always party-ready!

Orges has a voice like a shovel full of whiskey-soaked gravel. The themes of his songs, performed in Albanian Tom Waits style, alternate between cryptic socio-political commentary, back-to-the-land utopianism, songs of praise to the bicycle and alcoholic philosophy. His Ockus-Rockus Band plays fingerpickin'-country with a Balkan twist and a drunken burlesque-jazz aesthetic: high-energy roots music - except for the moments when it slips into rolling ska or (even more surprisingly) contemplative tenderness - true to the motto: the devil take the hindmost.
