The music giant, who began his career back in the 1970s, is best known for his biggest world record hit BALADE POUR ADELINE, which has sold an astonishing but true 22 million records.
The turning point in his music career was undoubtedly his discovery by the renowned French producer Olivier Toussaint in 1976, who was looking for a new music star. He had undoubtedly found it, as the number of copies originally expected for Ballade pour Adeline rose from 10,000 to 22 million. This was the beginning of an unstoppable success story.
