Znap Extended feat. Silke Eberhard

"The music of Znap, it seems, is conceived from the rhythm: from intricate, surprisingly changing grooves that lend the thematic melodies an idiosyncratic, unorthodox spin and yet always leave room for cool, swinging sensuality. And despite all the technical sophistication, despite the contrasting dramaturgies that the individual pieces run through, the music seems compact and coherent - as if Leonhard Skorupa, Gregor Aufmesser and Lukas Aichinger had not just joined forces to form Znap in Vienna in 2017, but had been together in the sandbox ages before. For this special concert evening, Silke Eberhard (winner of the Berlin Jazz Prize 2020) from Germany, Martin Bayer and Lorenz Raab will complement the trio and add extra spice to "znap's" sound language. They will play a repertoire written especially for this evening, which leaves plenty of room for soloistic experiments and radically explores all the stylistic and tonal possibilities of the line-up."
