A hen party with poltergeist, elves and goblins
A comedy by William Shakespeare adapted by Michael Niavarani
Directed by: Michael Niavarani & Helena Scheuba
Michael Niavarani does it again: After Richard III. and Romeo & It's now Juliet's turn to play Shakespeare's most famous comedy - A Midsummer Night's Dream.
“You won't believe what you see. If you're not careful, you'll find yourself enchanted by magical demons.
falling in love with the person sitting next to you and no longer wanting to go home with your husband. What's going on there? Quite simply: When lovers promise each other eternal desire and then constantly love someone else - then that's the puck!" (Michael Niavarani)
In Michael Niavarani's Midsummer Night's Dream, things get eerie and magical: Puck, the poltergeist, is at work when lovers promise each other eternal desire and then constantly look at someone else. And when Puck, who makes our lives difficult, distributes love hormones, a woman may rub her eyes and ask: “Did I just sleep with a donkey?” The elf queen and the elf king are fighting over their adopted child Child and lo and behold, the elements are going crazy. Everything like in real life. And when an untalented acting troupe rehearses the tragedy of “Pyramus and Thisbe” in the forest, things become unintentionally funny. A happy ending for all lovers is guaranteed.
