Slow Motion (Austria)

Slow Motion are the many strings of harp and guitar, virtuosically played by Monika Stadler and Miki Liebermann, crooked and straight wind instruments of wood and brass, which Georg Graf breathes life into, and an exquisite collection from Peter Rosmanith's percussion treasure chest, which pours time into rhythmic portions. There is no crossover and no multi-culti, it is the music of four arrivals, a leisurely fathoming of the sound of space at home. The discovery of slowness plays a name-giving role. It is what it is, says the love of music.

The Sargfabrik is tucked away in the fourteenth district, well away from the usual tourist track. Built on the site of a former coffin works, it was conceived as a ‘communal self-governing housing project with an advanced cultural programme’

This is where world music in all its variety is at home. A huge range of musical groups play at the Sargfabrik every week.
What they all have in common is their individuality and the high standard of the performances.
